Woman’s body found in East Asian countries
A woman’s body has been found in Indonesia’s East Asian waters, police said.
The woman’s remains were found at a secluded area of the island of Kalimantan, police chief Surya Kalimandu said.
A woman’s husband found her body about 5 p.m.
Sunday after her sister called police, police spokesman Darryl Rocha said.
Authorities were not immediately releasing her name.
Police said they believe the woman had been dead for about a month.
The man was not hurt.
The body was discovered at a shallow depth about 1,400 feet (620 meters) below the surface of the sea, Kaliman said.
No further information was immediately available.
Kalimanduk was not immediately available for comment.
The East Asian nations of Singapore and Hong Kong are also on the list of countries whose nationals could be on the watchlist, including residents of the United States.
